Since 2014, Grey Bruce Chinese Heritage and Culture Association has been hosting public accessible Lunar New Year Celebration events with community partners including Grey Roots , Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library, and Tom Thomson Art Gallery.
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we are still going to celebrate this year, but a little differently.
We are excited to announce the following events:
Year of the OX Art Show - Thanks to Raquell Yang's hard work in coordinating the local artists and downtown businesses, the show is on from February 8 to March 8, and the artworks will be displayed in the windows and on the walls of 12 downtown businesses.
Take & Make Kit - Even though we are not able to organize a celebration event together this year, the Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library
has prepared a Lunar New Year theme craft kit for any family who would like to join in the celebration.
Virtual Celebration - stay tuned for more information!
