meaford museum blocksAfter a lengthy lockdown over the winter, the Meaford Museum is glad to announce that it is reopening to the public. With over nine thousand artifacts in our collection, the Museum is pleased to welcome the community back to continue creating our shared history.

The Museum’s exhibitions cover the whole of the history of the Municipality of Meaford, including the former townships of St. Vincent and Sydenham. The current exhibitions focus on life in World War One, John Muir and natural history, and the real story of Beautiful Joe. It also covers the history of local sports, police and firefighting in the area, the apple and maritime industries, and the lifestyles of past Meaford residents.

The Museum’s operating hours are Thursday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It is located at 111 Bayfield Street, Meaford. For further information, please visit our website at www.meafordmuseum.ca or email [email protected].
