Hike for Hospice is a go for 2021. Chapman House challenges you to hike, bike, run, walk your treadmill (whatever moves you) at a location of your choosing.
Develop a team, walk in memory of a loved one. Find links to local trails: greybrucehospice.com/hike-for-hospice. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic this year we are asking all participants to complete their hike independently or safely distanced in small groups on the date and location of your own choosing.
Since we cannot gather all together in person this year, be sure to catch one of the two online Grey Bruce Hike for Hospice Broadcasts which will air at 10:00AM Sunday May 2nd & 9th at www.greybrucehospice.com. CTRE Productions will produce two online broadcasts featuring live footage of participants, entertainment, information about how your donations help your local hospice and stories of families who have chosen Chapman House. Share your own photos and live footage of your participation with us to include in the online broadcast. The deadline for photos and footage is April 25th.
Chapman House needs your help now more than ever. 80 percent of Canadians say they want quality hospice at the end of life, yet less than 15 percent have access to it. Hospice palliative care is currently underfunded and under-recognized. 100 percent of all funds raised in Grey and Bruce stay in our community.
To participate in this year's Hike for Hospice, you can sign up online, download a pledge form and go for a hike. For more information and pledge forms visit greybrucehospice.com/hike-for-hospice
