Rainy, cold and overcast…the perfect weather for Alexandra Community School’s 2nd Annual Mud Mania!
This ‘tough mudder’ competition was open to any students from JK to grade 8 and staff who dared to take up the challenge.
Our grade 7 and 8 Eagles, led by staff members - Greg Fullerton, Cayley Taylor, Laura McClelland and Keegan Elmore, worked hard to plan this event. On Friday morning, final preparations were made which included setting up the course, filling over 100 water balloons and hosing down the many mud pits. The Mud Mania challenges included The Spider’s Web, Doom From Above, Mud Mountain, Tunnel of Terror, Johnny Splash, Sliderama and much, much more.
From youngest to oldest, our ‘mud maniacs’ showed great school spirit and grit, and of course got completely all over muddy!
Our custodians were very thankful that students dismissed from the playground immediately following this event.
While there is certainly a time and place for getting dressed up and being squeaky clean…sometimes, you’ve just got to ‘GIT YER MUD ON’!
