Artisans Holiday Show & Sale is made up of a small group of local artisans dedicated to providing a showcase for our local art, craft and food artisans while giving back to our communities, local groups and charities. They will host a public show and sale on Friday December 2nd, Saturday December 3rd and Sunday December 4th at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. The show will also include a visit from Santa (Saturday & Sunday 1 to 3pm).The event is a fundraiser for CMHA-GB Youth Awareness and Education programs. 100% of all door proceeds go toward helping local youth cope with today’s challenges and increase mental heath literacy.

The Artisans Holiday Show & Sale features original works of art by an array of local artists from around Grey and Bruce counties including Kelly Maw, Susan Sparks, Margrit Olson and Ingrid Hunt.

Local food artisans will also be in attendance such as The Chocolate Garden, Donald’s Honey, Talies Tarts and Such and Crust & Crackle to name a few, and lunch counter services from Fresh Roots Cafe & Catering - a CMHA Grey Bruce initiative.

CMHA Grey Bruce offers multiple programs that are aimed at increasing mental health literacy in our local children and youth. Some of the topics covered include: Building self-esteem, dealing with change, dealing with anger and other feelings, appreciating our differences, and the importance of reaching out for help. Let’s Talk is a multi-visit program for youth in Grades 5 and up covering topics such as resources, coping strategies, healthy relationships, etc. Talk Today is a partnership program with the OHL and is aimed at bringing mental health conversations into the “locker” room and high school classrooms.
