flatosigns

- by Anne Finlay-Stewart, Editor

A field of red and white signs appeared across the east hill in Owen Sound on Sunday – ads for a $1,000 "monthly payment plan" for the new homes being built by Flato in their planned Greystone Village on 8th Street East.

Our by-law against this kind of sign blitz seems essentially ineffective, especially when it the planting is done on a weekend, but it did send us to learn more for you.

The sales launched on November 16 and December 3 at a sales office in Brampton, and are coming to the Bayshore in Owen Sound this Saturday, Dec. 17, at "11 a.m. SHARP!"

The website says you need to register, by phone or online, by Thursday, Dec. 15. Captain Real Estate of Brampton are the brokers.

One has to register in order to get the details of the monthly payment plan, but for Flato's Edgewood Greens homes in Dundalk, there was a VIP program, where prospective buyers put down $5,000 on signing, plus $1,000 a month toward the deposit.

Hundreds of other units, including different types of townhomes and apartment blocks are planned to follow.
