Summerfolk Stage

*****

Summerfolk welcomes back to the stage Serena Ryder, Loreena McKennitt, and Matt Andersen for the 48th annual music and crafts festival in Owen Sound.

Summerfolk48 logoSummerfolk Music and Crafts Festival runs August 18, 19 and 20 at Kelso Beach at Nawash Park.

On Saturday night, Serena Ryder returns to Summerfolk as she tours her compelling latest album, The Art of Falling Apart, which invites listeners to join her mental wellness journey through a driving pop sound and the full range of her powerful voice. You won't want to miss Serena's performance on the main stage, Saturday, Aug. 19.

Multi-award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter and musician Loreena McKennitt will be returning to her roots at Summerfolk on Friday, Aug. 18th. McKennitt's performance will largely feature her early repertoire of traditional Irish songs. She will be joined at the folk festivals by special guests The Bookends, a Stratford-based Celtic band, and several of their songs will also be included in the sets.

Summerfolk mattandersenThe weekend concludes with another Summerfolk veteran, Matt Andersen, on Sunday, Aug. 20. When Matt steps on stage, he brings a lifetime of music to every note he plays. His latest album, The Big Bottle of Joy, is all about hard-won celebration; a dozen songs infused with raw blues-rock, rollicking Americana, thoughtful folk, and ecstatic gospel.
