Kelso Beach at Nawash Park will once again be home to The Georgian Bay Folk Society’s Summerfolk Music & Craft Festival this coming weekend in Owen Sound.
And of course this means traffic may be slightly busier than usual as lane restrictions along 3rd Avenue West / Grey Road 1 / Eddie Sargent Parkway move drivers away from the west-side waterfront beginning Friday, Aug. 18, at 8:00 a.m.
Road users travelling in the area will experience lane reductions on Eddie Sargent Parkway north of the Pottawatomi River bridge and ending 500 metres north of the northern entrance to the park.
Curb lanes in both directions will be reserved for festival parking, and will last until the morning of Monday, Aug. 21.
All road users are encouraged to remain cautious and alert when travelling through the lane-restricted area to ensure the continued safety of Summerfolk celebrants, as well as pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists alike.
