The 2nd phase of steel has begun for the superstructure of The Sydenham condominium project in downtown Owen Sound. Finishing on the 1st phase will continue with joists and bolts being welded while the steel is erected for the 2nd phase.
The next several weeks will see the building continue to take shape as Stampa Steel Erectors assemble the ACL Steel components on site. The 3rd phase will come in December as will the pouring of the floors in the 1st phase. Complicated, right? This is a complex process as the crane moves around the constrained project site.
Closing in of the building will commence on phase 1 once the steel decking is installed and while the steel goes up on the following phases of construction. Things are really busy and will continue to be so from here on in.
