Illustrated in full colour throughout, this is one of our most ambitious projects to date. The book ($39.95) will be available at The Ginger Press if you can't the launch on Friday.

Then, at 7:00pm on Friday December 2nd the public is welcome to attend the launch of Beneath the Surface: Stories from Grey and Bruce ($24.95).

When a group of local writers meets regularly for a few years to discuss technique and share their current projects, inevitably their thoughts turn to publishing.

That's what Ascribe Writers have done. Each one of the nine-member group was allowed 6000 words to recount their locally-based stories. The members of the of Ascribe include Kelly Babcock, Bernice Cornell, Donna Curtin, Diane Ferguson, Alison Hall, Andree Levie-Warrilow, Seana Moorhead, Tracey Richardson and Lori Twining. The story titles range from Sex on the Beach to Flying with Dragons. Each writer will read from their work at the launch and they're all bringing cookies! It doesn't get any better.
