After seeing this picture in the Owen Sound Sun Times, an older gentleman showed up at Grey Roots this morning before my 3D Paper Folding Workshop. He had a beautiful swan a few pieces of which had fallen off and asked if I could fix it for him. It was a gift from a Vietnamese refugee whom he sponsored to come to Canada 32 years ago. The swan had a little accident and fell from the shelf it was on. I managed to "heal" this precious gift. He was beaming when leaving the museum.

I was actually quite nervous as I was handling the swan, trying to figure out where the pieces came from. Glad I could restore it!

Editor's note: May offers her 3D Paper Folding Workshops to raise money for the Chinese New Year Festival she helps organize.  For more information on these and her other adventures, find her on Facebook.
