Even as the exterior walls continue to go up at The Sydenham, the interior work has already begun. Jaland General Contractors has started with interior framing, KPH has started installing the heating systems and gas piping, and Georgian Bay Fire & Safety has been working on sprinklers and electrical panels.
Many different parts of the site are moving forward at a rapid pace. All the concrete floors have been poured by Grey County Concrete with the final one going in last week. Caldecott has now installed the stairs at the south end and will soon install the north stairs as well. The elevator shaft is being prepped to pour the shaft walls, and the crew continues to work hard on the exterior walls and sheathing.
The 32 residence condominium on the east bank of the Sydenham River in downtown Owen Sound is slated for occupancy later this year.
