This is a great family project!  The Owen Sound Fire and Emergency Services is pleased to announce that Georgian Bay Fire and Safety and Boston Pizza in Owen Sound are continuing to help educate elementary school children about fire safety. Georgian Bay Fire and Safety donates 75 Cineplex movie passes, and Boston Pizza supplies one pizza party per school for the upcoming school year.

Each student from grades 1 to 6 in all Owen Sound schools are given a home fire safety checklist to take home where they conduct a fire safety inspection of their home and a fire drill. Parents sign the form and students return the form to their teacher. Each completed ballot goes in a draw for movie passes supplied by Georgian Bay Fire and Safety. The class that returns the highest percentage of forms wins a pizza party from Boston Pizza.

"We are excited to work with the Owen Sound Fire and Emergency Services," said Belinda Bowler of Boston Pizza. "This program has real benefits to families in the City of Owen Sound."
