cubs for cancerThe Cubs for Cancer headshave and ponytail cut is happening tonight.

Dozens of kids and adults from around Grey Bruce have been raising money for childhood cancer, and will be shaving their heads and cutting off ponytails this evening in honour of those fighting the disease. From 4-5:30pm in the front lobby of the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre players from the Attack will be sitting alongside community members getting new haircuts for this great cause. All donations will go toward Childhood Cancer Research, and local services for children fighting cancer, in addition ponytails will be donated to make wigs for local cancer patients.

After the haircut event, people will be heading up to Boston Pizza Owen Sound, for the Cubs for Cancer celebrity serve. Attack players will be serving up dinner from 6-8pm and Boston Pizza will be donating back 10% of all food sales to the cause.

This Saturday, November 25 marks the Cubs for Cancer game, where the Attack will take on the Storm. The game will include a silent auction, chuck a puck, bucket pass, and will end with a live jersey auction, with auctioneer MPP Bill Walker at the helm.

Currently, over $17,000 has been raised with more donations expected to come in throughout the week.
