"Adventure Talks" are just one of the many programs the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre is serving up this winter. Grab a friend to enjoy "Lunch and a Movie", or take some time to tour our exhibits. All of this and more during the month of February!
Our newest exhibit, "Developing Our Lives", will be on display from February 7 until February 19, this powerful and expressive exhibit was the result of a simple program to teach people with dementia how to use digital cameras by the Alzheimer's Society of Grey-Bruce and funded by New Horizons for Seniors. Individuals with dementia and their care partners met weekly for eight weeks to share their photographs, experiences and laughs.
Join us on February 14 for "Lunch and a Movie", enjoy a delicious lunch and treats catered by Harrigan's 100 Mile Market and Loose Leaves, followed by Academy Award
winning Danish film "Babette's Feast". There is limited space for this program; purchase tickets by February 9 to avoid disappointment. Bring your family to spend the day experiencing a variety of activities and demonstrations at "Family Heritage Day" on February 19.
Learn traditional crafting skills, take a snowshoe trek around Fairy Lake, and appreciate old time music. There will be a cash food booth offering delicious chili and snacks. This event is a full day of exploration and discovery that everyone is sure to enjoy, proudly presented by Ontario Power Generation and 92.3 The Dock.
Explore the world through five different adventurers as they share their experiences travelling in planes, trains and automobiles. This five-part series begins on
Wednesday, February 21 and continues every other week until April 18. Hear about travelling through Canadian National Parks by automobile, listen to the experience of
travelling by luxury train through Spain, and learn all about the historical adventure in the making of the Bruce 150 documentary.
