This year, Alexandra Community School ran our annual "Fill A Bag, Make A Difference" clothing drive from October 15 - 20.
The clothing collected went to the Kidney Clothing Donation Program. This program encourages the re-using of clothing and it raises money for the Kidney Foundation. This was yet another opportunity for our students to learn about the importance of serving the community and making sure that the needs of others are met.
We are very proud of our Eagles for their tremendous contributions. In total, our school brought in 1296 kilograms (2850 pounds) of clothing!
A special thank you to Emma Collier, chair of our SCC for organizing this event and congratulations to Mrs. Patchell's grade 2/3 class for bringing in the most clothing.
