Celebrate Ontario’s mid-winter holiday by taking part in the Family Day of PLAY. Families are encouraged to participate by being physically active on February 18. Check out the list of activities happening in your community at www.playbrucegrey.com or the PLAY Facebook page for the latest updates. All forms of physical activity benefits your health – try skiing, snowshoeing, skating, sledding or simply take the dog for a walk.
“Family Day is an opportunity for families to be active together. It’s a great time of year to explore the outdoors. We will encourage a variety of winter activities.” said Jason Weppler, Health Promoter at the Grey Bruce Health Unit. “We want all Grey Bruce residents to include a little more activity into their day.”
This event is organized by the PLAY in Bruce Grey physical activity collaborative, a partnership of the 17 municipalities, Saugeen First Nations and the Grey Bruce Health Unit. Our mission is for “Grey Bruce communities to work collaboratively to promote PLAY as a key aspect of physical activity and overall health.”
Visit www.playbrucegrey.com for more information. PLAY in Bruce Grey encourages you to get active by “PLAY’ing your way, every day!”
