zineOn Saturday, April 13 get creative and make a statement by creating your very own zine. A zine is a small-circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images, usually reproduced via photocopier. Zines are either the product of a single person, or of a very small group and are popularly photocopied into physical prints for circulation. (Wikipedia)

The Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public Library is partnering with the Youth Elevating Youth Arts Collective to run a daylong zine workshop. Come with an idea, create a plan for your zine and then use supplies provided by the Library or images and inspiration you’ve brought from home to put together your personal publication. Zines will be photocopied and made available at the Library. Bring your own lunch, snacks and other refreshments will be provided.

Youth and young adults can register for this program at the Circulation Desk, or by calling 519-376-6623 ext. 210 or email [email protected].
