The Municipality of Meaford is now accepting applications for the Community Bursary Program, a 4-year funding program that replaces Community Grants.

Community groups who offer programs, services and events to the Meaford community can apply for up to $5,000 per year for the four-year term of Council. A total of $50,000 per year has been set aside for this program. This recognition and financial support allows these groups to leverage other funding and support volunteer contributions.

Applications will not be accepted again until the next term of Council in 2023.

Council will review the applications, and funding will be awarded based on:

• Contributions to the community

• Promotion of the Municipality's vision, values, and strategic priorities

• Good financial management and organizational ability

• Other partners, sources of funding, and support of volunteers.

The deadline for applications is Friday, May 17, 2019. Applications will be reviewed by staff for consideration and approval by Council in keeping with the policy and approved budget.
