The Owen Sound Police Service invites you to celebrate youth in our community on Saturday August 24, 2019. The Kiwanis Club and the Owen Sound Police Service are co-hosting the annual ‘SK8JAM’ at the Kiwanis Bike and Skate Park located at 700 10th Street East in Owen Sound.
This is a free community event that will showcase beginner and intermediate Skaters , BMX’ers and Scooter tricksters. Every year we have participants ranging from the ages of four years old to young adults who come out and enjoy the free event sponsored by the Kiwanis Club in the City of Owen Sound.
It is a structured event that allows each age group to get out and show their riding style on their scooters, skateboards and bicycles at separate times during the event. There will be music, BBQ and many contests and no-cost prize draws for the participants.
The BBQ is free for participants. For non-participants a minimum $2.00 donation will be accepted. The proceeds go to the Grade 6, KIDS Program in Owen Sound schools. There will be a free hydration-station generously donated by the local business community.
Come on out to the City of Owen Sound / Kiwanis Skate and Bike Park and enjoy this free family event that showcases our youth.
Thank-you to all of our businesses, families, and the youth of Owen Sound for the positive actions and choices that you make to keep our city strong, safe and united.
Join us from 12-3pm at the City of Owen Sound Kiwanis Bike and Skate Park on Saturday August 24.
