On June 15, 2016 at approximately 9:56 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a black bear sighting in the area of Miller Street and Pearson Street, Meaford, in the Municipality of Meaford. The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) was notified.

The SAVE OSCVI group will be holding a Town Hall meeting this Wednesday, June 8 to update the public on the next stage of its fight to save the school from closure this spring.
