David SuzukiGeorgian College will mark Earth Day 2016 in the company of award-winning scientist, environmentalist and broadcaster Dr. David Suzuki. Suzuki will share his wisdom on The Challenge of the 21st Century: Setting the Real Bottom Line with students, alumni, staff and supporters on Friday, April 22.

His hour-long presentation is part of the President's Thought Leadership Speaker Series, which engages the broader community in the exceptional learning experiences available at Georgian.

BROKEN-WINDOW-3Sometime between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on March 14th an unknown party smashed the passenger side window of a Dodge Caravan that was parked unattended in the rear parking lot at the YMCA Recreation Centre.  A purse was then stolen from the vehicle.  

Then again sometime between 8:20 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. someone smashed the rear driver’s side window of a Rav 4 that was parked unattended in the south parking lot of the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.  As well a purse was stolen from the vehicle.  

Thankfully the smashing of vehicle windows to steal valuables contained within is not a common occurrence in Owen Sound.  It does on occasion happen; therefore vehicle owners and its occupants should use caution

Public Health would like to remind everyone there are several things that can be done to protect yourself and others from respiratory illnesses:
