pollutionThe Grey Bruce Healthy Communities Partnership invites everyone to participate in the 2020 Virtual Climate Change Conference on October 28, 2020. This conference will bring participants together to learn, collaborate and plan successful climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies in Bruce and Grey Counties.

“While the global pandemic has challenged us in many ways, it has proven that carbon emissions can be reduced worldwide.” says Jason Weppler, Health Promoter with the Grey Bruce Health Unit. “This conference will highlight how Grey Bruce can return a “new normal” while ensuring climate action is viewed as a top local priority.”

The morning will feature a number of internationally renowned speakers including:

- Dr. Blair Feltmate, Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation, University of Waterloo

- Dr. Sonja Klinsky, Senior Sustainability Scientist, Arizona State University

- Miles Richardson, Director for the National Consortium for Indigenous Economic Development, University of Victoria
