Catapult Grey Bruce has appointed an Executive Director and is seeking volunteers to help lead the organization’s growth.
As demand for the local not-for-profit’s entrepreneur mentorship and support services grows, Catapult Grey Bruce is excited to announce it has appointed Jennifer Christie as Executive Director effective June 1, 2021.
“Jennifer is the perfect candidate to take on this important role for the organization. She has leadership experience, she’s an extremely hard worker and she has her finger on the pulse of what’s happening in the business community in Grey Bruce,” said Courtney Denard, Catapult Grey Bruce Chairperson.
Christie has been working with Catapult Grey Bruce over the last eighteen months to build the organization and provide more support to local entrepreneurs through mentorship.
Christie is a local business owner herself and has fifteen years of experience in marketing, agriculture, non-profit leadership and community building.
“There is such great energy among the ecosystem in Grey Bruce right now as new entrepreneurs are joining our communities and are eager to connect with the entrepreneur network,” Christie said. “I’m so happy to be able to continue supporting scaling entrepreneurs and strengthening our ecosystem’s capacity to grow more businesses here in Grey Bruce.”
On top of growing its staff, Catapult Grey Bruce is simultaneously working to grow the number of people around its board table. The organization is seeking interested applicants with entrepreneurship and not-for-profit board experience to join its Board of Directors.
One director position will be available on the board at the upcoming Annual General Meeting on July 7, 2021. Individuals interested in learning more can view details at www.catapultgreybruce.com or contact Christie through email at [email protected].
