meaford blue mountainWork is scheduled to begin on Monday August 30, 2021 for the rehabilitation of the shoreline and green space along Bayfield Street from Fred Raper Park to Collingwood Street.

The Municipality has secured the services of Naturally Green Landscaping to complete the construction work. The project includes drainage improvement and placement of boulders to reduce erosion concerns and loss of shoreline.

Construction will take place Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. All works are expected to be completed by September 30, 2021. As this project requires a number of different agencies approvals, the municipality must work within the timing windows provided. There will be traffic delays on Bayfield Street during the construction times. A full road closure may be necessary for a short duration during some of the construction activities.

There will be no street parking along Bayfield Street between Sykes Street North to Collingwood Street until the project is complete. Public parking is available at Fred Raper Park; Bayfield Street from Collingwood to Trowbridge Street; and at the Market Square (beside Meaford Hall). For access to McCarroll Park and Bayfield Beach please park at these suggested locations.

Please visit 511on.ca to stay current with roadwork locations and closures.
