The number for High Risk Contacts is reported by Grey Bruce Public Health as an estimate as they say the number is evolving by the hour. This is by far the highest number since the pandemic was declared in 2020.

“About 10% of these 1000+ high risk contacts will likely convert to become cases over the coming few days, " said Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ian Arra Arra in a media release.

"We thank these individuals for completing their isolation to protect the community. We also ask Grey Bruce residents who have symptoms to stay home”.

Five people are currently hospitalized with Covid-19 locally, and one more health care worker has tested positive. Outbreaks (two or more cases)  have been declared in Owen Sound at Timothy Christian School, St. Mary's High School, Ecole St. Dominique-Savio, and Happy Hearts Daycare.

We are seeking clarification about OSDSS - why it is not an outbreak if the other schools are.  We will update information if we receive it.
