On Thursday, May 12th at 1 pm, West Grey Library favourite David T. Chapman, nature photographer and storm chaser, will be offering a virtual presentation (ZOOM) called “Springtime and Ontario’s Birds”. David will look at beautiful backyard birds, birds of prey, and other favourites like owls, warblers, winter finches and herons. This program includes humour, bloopers and facts along with stunning imagery that audiences of any age will enjoy. Pre-registration by May 11th required: [email protected].

And Roaming Readers return: starting Wednesday, May 25th, booklovers will gather at Durham Branch for a riverside stroll to discuss books, authors and reading of all kinds.  Pre-registration has begun!

Cardmaking with Bonnie is back in person at the Library, too – Thursday, May 12th, from 5 to 7 pm, participants can create gorgeous seasonal cards ($10 for 2 cards; $15 for 3, to cover materials).  Pre-registration also required.

And for the younger set:  kids 5-12 can enjoy Little Green Thumbs, a program for junior gardeners! They can try planting seeds, making garden markers, and more! Outside at the Durham Town Hall Park on Wednesday May 18, 4-5pm.  Email [email protected] to register.
