Former City Councillor, Bill Twaddle passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022.
“On behalf of my Council colleagues, staff and the residents of the city, I offer my condolences to his family members and friends,” said Mayor Ian Boddy.
Mr. Twaddle served his community as a City Councillor from 1996 - 2014 , "dedicated to navigating complex issues and looked for opportunities to find solutions" according to a media release from the City. He was a former editor of the Owen Sound Sun Times, a founding editor of the Owen Sound Tribune, and worked for the local Alzheimer's Society for 16 years,
Flags will be lowered to half-mast on August 4 at City Hall in his honour.
