We stood alone, we stood together.
We shared our grief, our hugs, our tears. We were silent, feeling the beat of the drums – and the weight of incomprehension.
The news of the death Sharif Rahman brought us downtown Owen Sound Friday afternoon, to add our notes and flowers at the Curry House door, to commune in mourning as a drum and prayer circle began at the Farmer's Market.

Another walk of support will gather this weekend, at City Hall again on Sunday at 8:00 p.m., helping our downtown neighbours with our words, with our presence and with our business.
