Ontario Provincial Police LogoOn August 23, 2016 at approximately 6:28 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision on Grey Rd. 17 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs involving a motorcycle and a mini-van. Investigation revealed that a Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling southbound on Grey Rd. 17 when a northbound Dodge Caravan made a left turn in front of the motorcycle in an effort to enter a private driveway.

The motorcyclist, a 42-year Collingwood man, was air lifted to a London Hospital with life-threatening injuries. He is listed in stable condition.

The driver of the Caravan, a 60-year old female from Georgian Bluffs, was not injured.

Grey County Emergency Services (EMS) and the Inter-Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Grey County OPP, with the assistance of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit, continue to investigate the collision. Charges are pending.
