On Sunday October 2, at around 3:00 pm, police responded to a 9-1- 1 call from a citizen who saw several boys break into a vacant home in the 1000 block of 1 st Avenue West. The youth smashed the front door in with a cement block and proceeded to make theirway through the home.
Police arrested three of the boys who were found on the lower level of the home, while another two were arrested after trying to hide in the attic.
Five young people have been charged with break and enter, and failure to comply with probation orders. All boys have been released to future court dates and cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
