pubhealth-featureThe Grey Bruce Health Unit is seeking assistance from the public in finding the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred in Owen Sound.

On Friday, February 24, at approximately 10:00 a.m., a man was bitten by a dog in the vicinity of the TD/Canada Trust branch located at the corner of 2nd Ave East and 9th St. East. The dog is described as a small, off-white poodle mix. It is uncertain if the dog was alone or accompanied by its owner.

Staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment. If you have any information related to this incident, please contact the Grey Bruce Health Unit at 519-376-9420.
