Bruce Power reportTo celebrate another year of providing 30 per cent of Ontario's electricity at 30 per cent less than the average residential price, Bruce Power released its 2016 Annual Report and produced a new video this week.

'Powered by Our People' highlights Bruce Power employees and the role they play in providing low-cost, clean and reliable nuclear energy to Ontario's families and businesses.

"Bruce Power is in the people business," said Mike Rencheck, Bruce Power's President and CEO. "Every day, over 4,000 Bruce Power employees and thousands contractors come to work with a goal – to safely provide the people of Ontario with low-cost, clean and reliable electricity, make isotopes that save people's lives, and advance economic development and job creation throughout the province. Our 2016 Annual Report features some of our passionate employees, while outlining the important role we play across Ontario and the world."

In conjunction with the release of the Annual Report, the company also produced a video that explains the far-reaching benefits of Bruce Power nuclear, which is a low-cost, carbon-free and reliable source of energy that also saves lives through the sterilization of 40 per cent of the world's medical devices and the treatment of cancer with Cobalt-60 developed in Bruce B's four reactors.

The 2016 Annual Report can be viewed at www.brucepower.com/annualreport and downloaded as a pdf. It is also available in print at the Bruce Power Visitors' Centre.
