Shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23rd, 2017 police, fire & ambulance responded to a residence on fire in the 1600 block of 9th Avenue East, Owen Sound.

Upon arrival of emergency services the residential trailer was fully engulfed by flames. While fire fighters battled flames, police redirected traffic around the 1600 block of 9th Avenue East for about 2 hours.

Away from home at the time of the fire, neither the occupant, nor responding emergency service personnel were injured.

Owen Sound Fire & Emergency Services are investigating the cause of the fire. It is not deemed suspicious. The trailer is destroyed.

Thankfully the occupant has support of family and friends for temporary housing.
