Four people have been arrested. Cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, marihuana and cash were seized.
In the afternoon hours of Tuesday October 17, 2017, the Owen Sound Police Service Drugs and Intelligence Unit, with the assistance of the Criminal Investigations Branch and Uniformed officers, arrested four individuals in the downtown area who were believed to be trafficking cocaine, heroin and Fentanyl in the City of Owen Sound and surrounding area.
As a result of the arrests police seized over $12,000 in drugs and cash proceeds.
A 30 year old Toronto man and a 25 year old Niagara Falls woman face charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of heroin for the purpose of trafficking, possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marihuana, and possession of the proceeds of crime. Both the male and female were held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for 18 October 2017.
A 34 year old Oshawa man is facing charges of possession of marihuana, possession of psilocybin (mushrooms), and failing to comply with court orders. The male was held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for 18 October 2017.
A 28 year old Scarborough man is facing charges of possession of oxycodone and has been released on a promise to appear and undertaking.
