A man is facing multiple charges including sexual assault.
On October 27, 2017 at approximately 6:02 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police responded to weapons call at a residence in the Municipality of Grey Highlands after a male had attended there threatening to shoot the occupants who were known to him.
Upon arrival, police observed several people restraining the suspect on the front lawn.
The altercation occurred after the male refused to leave the property after having sexually assaulted a 16 year old female at the residence earlier in the day.
The suspect, a 36 year old male from West Grey, was arrested and no weapons found. He was transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment where he assaulted an officer.
The accused was held for a bail hearing on October 28th. He remains in custody pending a video bail scheduled for November 3, 2017 on the following charges:
- Sexual Assault
- Assault
- Assault Peace Officer
- Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Mischief
- Breach of Probation (x3)
