dog biteThe Grey Bruce Health Unit is seeking assistance from the public in finding the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred in Owen Sound on 9th Street East, between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue East (outside the Bean Cellar Café) on Friday, November 3, 2017 between 11:00 a.m. -12:30 p.m.

Two dogs were leashed outside the café and are describe as: one, white and black (dog that bit the victim) and the other orange in color, possible golden retriever. The dog's owner is a male between 50-60 years of age and who described himself as from Montreal.

Staff of the Grey Bruce Health Unit need to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the dog(s), the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment. If the owner, or a member of the public have any information related to this incident, please contact the Grey Bruce Health Unit at 519-376-9420.
