Meth and weapons seized and charges have been laid after a three month investigation.
During the late evening hours on November 29, 2017, detectives with the Owen Sound Police Service Drugs and Intelligence Unit and the O.P.P Street Crime Unit arrested a male and female in the downtown area of Owen Sound.
The arrests came after a three month long joint forces investigation into the couple's drug trafficking activities in the City of Owen Sound and surrounding area.
As a result of the arrests, police seized cash and drugs valued at $2,500. Police also seized two prohibited weapons.
A 35 year old Walkerton female, and 27 year old Owen Sound man have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine and two counts of possessing prohibited weapons.
Both parties were held in custody pending bail hearings on November 30, 2017 at the Ontario Court of Justice, Owen Sound.
The Owen Sound Police Service and Ontario Provincial Police continue to work in partnership to investigate those suspected of trafficking illicit drugs in our communities.
