It’s been a couple of months since OSHaRE (Owen Sound Hunger and Relief Effort) announced its decision to move from the Harmony Centre to a new location in the former Salvation Army Thrift Shop building on 3rd Avenue East. OSHaRE has benefitted from some six-plus years of partnership with the Harmony Centre and is thankful for that time of sharing. The new location is going to allow OSHaRE to improve its services to some of the most vulnerable individuals in our community. It will enable OSHaRE to put in place new commercial, food preparation equipment and increased cold and frozen storage facilities that will improve our ability to provide nutritious meals.
We are excited to see that renovations are progressing and we look forward to the day when OSHaRE can move into this new premises
OSHaRE is thankful for the generous support of the Owen Sound community; from individuals, churches, organizations and from our business supporters. In 2018, some 21,000 meals were served at OSHaRE and through the first eight months of 2019, the need continues to be significant. Can you help OSHaRE? Those who would like to make a donation to OSHaRE and help us to do this important community work can still do so at the current Harmony Centre location.
