Following a declaration from the province, all sports fields and outdoor recreation facilities in the Municipality of Meaford are now closed to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

In addition to playground structures, which have been closed since March 18, 2020, the following outdoor Municipal facilities are now also closed:

Meaford Skate Park
Beautiful Joe Off-leash Dog Park
William Croft Athletic Fields
Meaford Tennis Courts
Annan Ball Park
David Johnston Park
Leith Beach
Memorial Park Beach and Dog-Friendly Beach

Privately owned outdoor recreation facilities are also closed. Trails and open green spaces for walking remain open. All users must maintain a safe distance of 2 metres apart. Provincial offences officers and municipal law enforcement officers are authorized to enforce all emergency orders made under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.
