On September 13, 2020 at 4:11 p.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a missing person in Lake Huron, at Second Avenue South, north of French Bay Road, Saugeen First Nation. A witness last observed the male swimmer out from shore, in distress and struggling in the waves.

On September 15, 2020 Grey Bruce OPP Marine Unit and OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit removed the deceased male from the water.

The deceased has been identified as Kevin Costin, 29 years old from Wellington North.
