On Friday, July 21, at 3:14 p.m., the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a 41-year-old driver after stopping an e-bike on Highway 6 in the Municipality of South Bruce Peninsula.

Officers were patrolling the area of Highway 6 when the operator of the e-bike attracted the officer's attention with their driving behaviour.

The e-bike was subsequently stopped, and it was determined that the driver of the e-bike was a prohibited driver

As a result of the investigation, police charged a 41-year-old individual with operation while prohibited.

The driver is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on August 31, 2023.

The OPP want to remind everyone that if you are planning on using an alternative form of transportation to ensure that you know the rules and regulations with the vehicle you are driving.
