On January 17, 2018 approximately 2:59 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police, together with the Chatsworth Fire Department, responded to a structure fire on Highway 6 near Williamsford in the Township of Chatsworth.

Smoke alarms alerted the occupants who, together with the family pet dog, were able to exit the single family residence safely. A 46-year old male and a 10-year old girl attended a hospital as a precaution.

The fire is not deemed to be suspicious.
