Two youth are charged with criminal offences.
Over the span of 4 days, starting March 29 and ending April 1, 2018, Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police investigated break and enter and mischief occurrences at businesses in Sauble Beach. The involved businesses, Miller's Home Hardware and Sauble Beach Antiques both sustained damage to property. As well, on two separate dates police were dispatched to Fretz Valu-Mart for windows broken. The store was entered through the attached Pizza Pizza store and items were stolen during the first broken window occurrence.
On April 1 at approximately 12:18 a.m., following the second time that police were called to Fretz Valu-Mart, police located two youths hiding in a wooded area near the store.
Police have charged two 16-year-old males from the Kitchener area, each with the following offences.
3 counts of Mischief Over $5,000 430(3) Criminal Code of Canada (CC)
Mischief Under $ 5,000 430(4) CC
Break, Enter a place - commit indictable offence 348(1)(b) CC
Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 354(1)(a) CC
