Grey County Ontario Provincial Police is currently investigating a report of a missing boater in Georgian Bay in the Owen Sound Harbour.
On August 18, 2018 at approximately 5:20 p.m. police were called concerning a missing male in Georgian Bay in the Owen Sound harbour area. The male entered the water along with a family friend to assist a family pet that had jumped in from their boat. When the male failed to surface family and friends called for assistance.
The Canadian Coast Guard, Canadian Forces Base Trenton, OPP Marine Unit, Owen Sound Fire Department and Grey County EMS attended the area and assisted in the search which is ongoing.
