The Bruce Peninsula and Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Units are continuing their investigation into the disappearance and subsequent death of Niram Shouldice. The investigation will be under the direction of Detective Inspector Scott Moore, OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
The Owen Sound Hub wrote about Niram last December, at the request of his family. He was reported missing by family members on March 6, 2017. After an extensive investigation and search, police determined that remains found June 27 along Lakewood County Lane were determined to be those of Niram Shouldice.
Police believe that the last known sighting of Niram was in Ferndale, in the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula, on March 5, 2017, at approximately 7:00 p.m.
