On April 2, 2019 the South Bruce Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police attended Concession 10 Brant, west of Side Road 25 in the Municipality of Brockton for a report of a single motor vehicle collision involving a commercial motor vehicle. The sole occupant of a commercial motor vehicle was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the commercial motor vehicle, Art Patterson, age 52 of Arran-Elderslie was pronounced deceased.

The investigation is still ongoing at this time.

Investigation has revealed that shortly before 1:00 p.m. on April 2, 2019 South Bruce OPP responded to a single commercial motor vehicle collision on Concession 10 Brant between Side Road 20 and Side Road 25 in the Municipality of Brockton. It is unknown at this time the direction of travel of the vehicle. Police were assisted at the scene by Bruce County Paramedics and Brockton Fire Department. OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TCCI) is on scene to assist in the investigation and the Ministry of Labour (MOL) has been contacted.
