A two vehicle collision sends four people to hospital.
On 10 April 2019 at approximately 13:45 hrs the Owen Sound Police responded as part of a tiered response to the 200 block of 2nd Avenue East regarding a two vehicle collision.
The investigation revealed that a 79 year old Owen Sound residence was driving north bound on 2nd Avenue East in a 2012 Mazda SUV. A 55 year old Owen Sound female was driving south bound on 2nd Avenue East in a 2010 Ford Escape carrying two passengers, a 28 year old female and her 4 week old infant. The 79 year old male turned left towards 2nd Street West across the path of the south bound Ford escape. All four persons were transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The 79 year old male was charged with; left turn fail to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid collision. Both vehicles were severely damaged and were required to be towed from the scene.
