Three drivers have been charges after a concerned motorist reported them racing.
On April 19, 2019 at approximately 6:00 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police received a call from a concerned motorist about three vehicles that appeared to be racing on Highway 10 in the Township of Chatsworth.
After observing the vehicles, all three were stopped by police on Highway 10 near 30 Sideroad and the drivers charged.
19-year old, Arjun Singh, of Kitchener, was issued a Part III Summons for Race a Motor Vehicle - Excessive Speed under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA). He received a seven (7) day driver's licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven (7) days. He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on June 3, 2019.
20-year old, Inderpal Sigh, of Belleville, was issued a Part III Summons for Race a Motor Vehicle - Excessive Speed under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA). He received a seven (7) day driver's licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven (7) days. He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on June 3, 2019.
A 21-year old male from Scarborough was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for speeding under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
