Ontario Provincial Police LogoOn July 30, 2019 at 8:20 a.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to two collision scenes on the 6 & 21 Highway west of Owen Sound. Witnesses reported a (red) Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), operated by an 81 year old male from Owen Sound, suddenly backed into the No Frills store and then accelerated forwarded across the parking lot area through the lights and into a wooded area behind The Beer Store.

The male driver was the only occupant in the vehicle and was transported to hospital with minor injuries. No pedestrians were injured or vehicles damaged, by the sudden actions of the SUV.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the actions of the driver and the resulting two collisions.
